We in the family were wondering why Appaji is complaining about a minute issue of ‘Benne not on Dose’. But he was very particular in everything and simplicity was in his blood. In spite of generation gap my father was conversing with Praveen Nayak. When Praveen use to go out for fag he was telling ‘Yilli Sedri Cigarette Parvagilla’. Such acquaintance Praveen Nayak had and some of the good thoughts of our father I came to know from him pointed Raganna.
It was only after he came back from ‘Kaadu’ my father was telling ‘System Sarigilla Bhoomi mele irodhu Namagalla’. The life span came down and his courage also dipped once he came to know the system of operation. Appaji was so cool with the children while narrating the story. When they use to yawn he used to put his nose inside the mouth of children and make them laugh.
On pain my father was telling it is fine. Living with me as a friend he was smiling. The happiest moment was when Appu took birth in 1975. He cut down his assignments and not allowed Appu to go to school.
Raghavendra Rajakumar remembering his father also left an opinion that he should author a book in the coming days.
However Raghavendra Rajakumar on his father in a series published in Times of India Kannada – written by Sadashiva Shenoy the senior journalist is set for release on Dr Rajakumar ‘Januma Dina’ April 24.
